Fresh herbs are usually best. Nothing adds freshness to a dish like cilantro…delicious! But sometimes dried spices work just as well too! If you aren’t sure where to start out when it comes to buying spices here are my suggestions for the ten spices you should always keep in your spice rack. I use these in all of my recipes. Here are my favorites, in no particular order. 

Kosher Salt

Black Pepper (in a grinder)

Herbs de Provence

Cumin

Chili Powder

Ground Coriander

Oregano

Red Pepper Flakes

Cinnamon

Thyme
